Stepping onto the shooting range for the time can be really exciting and also a little scary, for women who do not see many other women at the range. A lot of women want to learn how to handle guns confidently but being around people who have been shooting for a time can be intimidating. That is why womens shooting clinics are an idea. They offer a place where women can learn about guns and feel comfortable. At Arrowhead Gun Club we understand that it can be hard for women to start shooting so we created a clinic for them. Our goal is to make sure every woman leaves feeling empowered and confident with a gun.

Understanding the Environment

When you get to the clinic you will notice that it feels really supportive. It is not like shooting events where people are competing with each other. Our clinic is designed to help women feel like they are part of a community. You will meet instructors who're not only shooters but also great teachers. They will help you learn about guns and answer any questions you have without making you feel bad.

The shooting range is set up so that women of all skill levels can feel comfortable. If you are a beginner you will be able to learn alongside women who are also just starting out. If you have shot before you can work on getting better. You will see a lot of guns. You can ask questions about them. Learning about gun safety and how to handle a gun in an environment will make you feel more confident.

We also want to make sure you feel safe and comfortable at the range. Our instructors will show you around. Make sure you know where everything is, like the aid kit and the safety equipment. This will help you feel more secure so you can focus on learning.

What to Bring

It is an idea to be prepared when you come to the clinic. If you have your gun and ammunition you can bring them.. If you do not have any equipment do not worry. We will lend you what you need. You should also bring eye and ear protection. Wear clothes that will keep you safe and allow you to move around. You will be standing for a time so wear shoes.

If you do have a gun make sure you know how to use it. Bringing your gun can help you learn more and feel more connected to what you're doing. If you have any gear like a shooting glove or a holster you can bring that too.

Skills You'll Develop

At the clinic you will learn a lot of skills like how to stand hold the gun aim and shoot. Our instructors will break everything down into steps so you can understand it easily. You will get to practice handling the gun safely and shooting in positions.

One of the things about the clinic is that you will be learning with women. You will all be able to support and encourage each other. Our instructors will give you feedback that's helpful and specific to what you need. Sometimes women who meet at the clinic will plan to practice or meet up to shoot again. This can be a way to keep learning and getting better.

Addressing Safety Concerns

Safety is the thing when it comes to guns. At the clinic you will learn about gun safety rules before you even start shooting. You will learn how to handle the gun what the risks are and what to do in an emergency. Learning about safety in a controlled environment will help you feel secure.

You will also learn about how to store your gun which's really important if you are thinking about owning a gun. You will learn how to keep it locked up and away from people who should not have access to it. Our instructors will answer any questions you have. Make sure you feel safe and comfortable.

The Community Aspect
